Production process of end-product polyethylene takes place in the solution by solution process SCLAIRTECH Technologies - by the license of one of the leading polyethylene producers in North American market Canadian company NOVA Chemicals. Raw materials for reaction - ethylene (monomer) and butene-1 (co monomer) are produced here which makes the cost of Shurtan polyethylen lower then others.

Advantagers of SCLAIRTECH Technologies are as follows:

• Flexibility-short transfer time and excellent control of plastic properties allow to produce several tens of reactor grades in one line. Transfer from a grade to another grade can be carried out within some minutes to some hours based on reactor system and possible start, shutdown which result in minimum amount of transfer product;
• Multifunctionality - polyethylene production line produces products for all range markets improving and developing new types of polyethylene consequently allowing to produce more than 125 plastic types (using the reactor system in different variations and separately);
• Product quality - highly plastic, consistent product with well dispersed additives improving processing, physical and mechanical properties and extending lifetime;
• Low production costs - feedstock like commercial grade ethylene, hydrogen and Butene-1.

In order to obtain copolymer Butene-1 is used as a co monomer which is produced at the same plant by "Axens" license of French Petroleum Institute (IFP). Usage of butene as a co monomer allows to vary the density from 0.918 to 0.962 g/cm3.

Another advantages is the possibility to vary MFI from 0.2 to 75 g/10min, which allows to use Shurtan polyethylene in different industries starting from thin film (<5mkm) production ending with moulding large-sized products.

Today Shurtan Gas Chemical Complex polyethylene has well recommended it self in the processing industries like extrusion (different film types, pipes, oriented tapes - monofilament, wire and cable insulation and etc.), blow moulding (bottles, cans, different tanks), rotational moulding (tanks, drums, containers), injection moulding (bins, crates, buckets and other large and small items)., different tanks), rotational moulding (tanks, drums, containers), injection moulding (bins, crates, buckets and other large and small items).
